What...and more importantly...why???

saw this guy at the hytte, it is believe it or not, a 'uni-moutain bike'. it seriously has one wheel, built like a mountain bike. it obviously has no gears. this astounded me as id been completely knackered traversing hills and moutains all day, with 21 gears, this guy had to do it all with no gearing?? the effort he had to put in just to get up the tiny slope out of the hytte was incredible. saying that, his thighs were huuuge (does anyone know how to spell ginormous/gynormous?)...i saw snow bmx's last year, which looked kinda cool, but is this just trying too hard to be different? we just looked at eachother in bewilderment, shrugged and repeatedly asked ourselves 'why'
