Friday Night

Friday afternoon/night was the works summer party. they took us on a bus to a nearby fjord for 8 hours of free drinks and a great bbq. as we were in a remote place, there was no escaping until midnight when the buses came. it was a really nice afternoon/evening (if not a little long). norwegians are heavily into the social side of work, and as the japanese do, see it as an integral part of the working life, totaly opposite of what happens in the uk. as its midsummer, parts in the north of norway, the sun never sets, even in oslo (in the south) it doesnt actually get dark.
