further Sheffield stuff...
was at a house party last weekend when i got chattig to a bloke with a very noticable yorkshire accent, (havent heard one in a long while...) anyway, turns out he's from sheffield of all places, and even supports sheffield united! top man. anyway, turns out that the Arctic Monkeys (one of my favourite bands..and also from sheffield) is playing a gig on the following monday (last monday as is now) straight after headlining the Glatonbury Festival, but its sold out :-( but he has a spare ticket :-) anyway, about 10 of us went down...i still had my disposable camera after copenhagen, so took it down, although i had to hide it in my underwear as they do proper searching for cameras here...needless to say, i think we can all be grateful that the camera didnt go off accidentally...was a great gig, proper packed rammed sweaty moshpit. a weird thought did hit me whilst watching the band, they are about 18 years old, and im a huge fan, now i dont 'adore' them, but was a weird feeling having semi 'heroes' that are 14 years younger than you...odd feeling. anyway, was a great gig. have missed the gig scene in the last 3 years.

It's been 3 weeks and I've yet to go to a gig! *hangs head in shame* I blame it on the lack of a gig-worthy partner.
i didnt think kl allowed gigs? do filipino house bands count?? im amazed if there is anyone left in the phillipines with mostof thier population playing in cheesy house bands in bars and hotels in kl!
Geez Glen, I'm in good ole' grey, rainy, freaky-cold-in-summer London at the mo. Car bombs and all. Let that sink into your mind for a while. KL is so yesterday! (and yes, the gig-scene is non-existent that side of the universe)
