Goodbyes

Will actually see most of these guys soon enough...andy will be working with me soon, and the rest will be in malaysia for another couple of good friends from kl's wedding in september which i am going to (if i ever sort my flights out)
a truly truly awesome weekend, thanks guys :-)

Exige!

We all met in malaysia while working for Lotus (those who make the Elise sports car)...only Lee still works there, in HQ in norwich, and he has a Lotus Exige...one of the sexiest looking cars in the world, and one of the best weight to power ratios as well...it goes like the clappers and is practically glued to the road. lee actually had an Elise in Kl when we were there, and took me for a spin around Bangsar once...unfortunately, i was rather hungover and was nearly sick all over the interior...its like being in a rollercoaster basically.

this time the hangover was less, but as he threw the car around the country lanes...i wasnt feeling my best...however, it is an awesome experience, so fast its untrue...

Sunday

Sunday was sunday lunch in a pub, frisbee on the South Downs...a spectacular piece of england...textbook england if you like, rolling hills, kite flying, blue skies...perfect perfect day. reminded me of when all childhood memories of summer meant sunny days...

The cheesiest 'disco' in the world...great!

odeon...cheese...beer...illuminated dancefloor...say no more...

(oh...see sarahs audition photo for the film 'Tron 2'...see the film, work it out)

great great cheesy night out

Saturday night

saturday night was a dinner in a great pub that has 16 different combinations of sausage and mash. one of andys claims to fame from malaysia was called a 'tequila stuntman'...dont ask, but it involves, tequila, lemon juice, salt and your eyeball...go on...join the dots...eeuugghh

Answers on a postcard...

Dodgems!

i love dodgems...well, with my abject fear of the big loopy spinning twirly rides...its about the only thing i can do at the fun fair. ironically, we all drove Protons in malsysia...and the dodgems not only drove better, sounded better, looked better, but would actually be safer on a motorway...i kid you not...kids, never buy a Proton

Brighton Pier (the other one)

its actually a true story that i have never met some of these people in the uk before, only in malaysia...and i have literally never seen some of these people without short sleeve shirts/t shirts on...well it struck me as odd. fun and jollification on the pier

Brighton Pier

a huge shame that the pier (a very english thing) was burnt down a couple of years ago...but still retains its beauty i think

"...i do like to be beside the seaside..."

Saturday was a mooch about brighton with andy...and again, on a sunny day it is an amazing place and was packed with people

Brighton

Long story short but a few friends from Malaysia were over in the uk, added to the fact that a few old friends from malaysia now reside in the uk...and Brighton, a re-union was organised...now these are really really good friends of mine, so was no problem to jump on a plane to see them, plus brighton is such a cool place...it has this great 'alternative' scene and feel about it...something that is woefully missing in oslo. the weather was spectacular, really hot and sunny, and when its sunny, there are few places to be that better the english sea-side...especially brighton. was such a great great weekend, one of the best weekends in a long time, in fact i cant remember a weekend as good as this this year...

arrived friday night, just as andy arrived...literally within seconds...i flew from oslo, he drove from near newcastle. friday night we met up with ben and sarah, who live in brighton (not hove!)
