Bergen to Oslo

Touted as one of the most beautiful train rides in the world, the Bergen to Oslo train takes 7 hours and takes in some extraordinary scenery...in fact, after a few hours, you can become quite blase' about it all. the first hour was spent rushing from the left to the right side of the train to get the best views, inbetween tunnels and trees...this pace couldnt be maintained obviously, so in the end , you sit there and read a book occasionally having a look through the window. we even passed Geilo, scenes of snow merriment this winter. i always think that snow parks in the summer look kind of sad...
