Coming 'home'
Well, i guess it had to happen at some point, but im moving back home to the uk. not actually my decision, its actually a cost cutting move by my company, and if it was up to me i'd be staying in norway for a good long period, but i have no choice. i have been given the choice of aberdeen in scotland or bristol in the south of england, so i have chosen bristol. i actually left the uk 4 years ago when i moved to malaysia. initially i was extremely disappointed, there are many things about the uk i dont like, however, after i had time to get my head around it, im quite looking foward to it. im putting together a mental list of things i will be able to do once i get back, and one of the reasons i chose bristol is that it is only 2.5 hours drive from sheffield/nottingham and all my family and friends, and about the same from london. it will mean ill be able to play in the band again, something that i have missed dearly, especially seeing them recently play. it was weird, i had the choice the other weekend to either fly to oslo or nottingham and i chose nottingham to see people, so maybe that was a good indicator. i guess oslo has been a bit quiet since most of my friends left there, even though i still have a few really dear friends here. again though its becoming a bit of a joke how many times i move, i mean, ive lived in 5 countries in the past 4 years, and i didnt plan on moving again, but as i said, i have no choice. so there you go, seems like an annual event now. i dont actually know a single soul in bristol, so that means starting all over from scratch again, but hey...
i move back in july...where ill turn into one of those poor souls who go snowboarding once a year...yuk!
strangely though i am looking forward to moving back...whether this is belief or self dillusion remains to be seen...
