Indian house
As we were looking at the wall painting, we were invited to look around the courtyard, when we did, we met 2 young girls, who invited us to have a look around their 'house'. ordinarily i would have been embarrassed and politelty declined, but after the revalation at the cattle market, i said ok. they showed us their kitchen, whic hwas tiny, but immaculate. then we saw their living room, and 'bedroom'. they live with their father and were about 19?? they made us some food and tea and we had a lovely chat for about half an hour. they were lovely. one is training to be an air traffic controller! their mother had died a few years previously, and their elder sister had been adopted by a spanish tourist couple some 3 years previously. im not sure what i made of that, was a good thing or a bad thing? i couldnt decide. anyway, they showed us pictures of their sister in spain who visits every year. they have a scrap book of tourists theyve met and we swapped email addresses. now i know what oure thinking, but that wasnt the case. in no way were they 'willing; to be adopted, they jsut liked having contact with people all over the world. they were so lovely and spoke such perfect english. i was glad i was with kamala, as being a woman, and hindu, it made the whole scene that much more legitimate. but it was such a lovely experience meeting these two.
