Onsen!

This is an Onsen, one of man's greatest inventions, its basically a hot (very very hot) natural spring water bath. very common in japan and one of my favourite things about japan. this one was in our hotel, we went out saturday night, had a few beers and went to the onsen before bed. they are not mixed, ie boys and girls separate, completely in the buff. they normally have outdoor and indoor ones, this was the outdoor one, you are basically naked, outside, with the temperatures well below freezing, then get in this hot natural spring water bath/pool...amazing, love love onsens
