Marathon Training Update
well....not going great. got injured before xmas. my scooby has a really really stiff clutch, and that along with a 12 mile/22km run, managed to injure my hip, knee and ankle...all on left leg due to driving. also motivation is lacking at the mo, went for 6 miles on monday, freezing cold, pitch black and gale force winds...is becoming really hard to motivate myself to go out. had an idea the other day at the gym, and have now decided to train during the week on a treadmill at the gym, boring as hell, but is much much softer on my legs. did 6 miles last night with no pain in my legs...but jeez, was sooo boring!! might try and do outdoor runs at weekend. only one month to go and am only doing 1/4 distance at the mo, beginning to get worried. fitness wise i know i can do it, its just whether the legs hold out. anyway....it was bank holiday last weekend, so on monday, due to sheet cabin fever, decided to go for a long drive along the coast with my camera, was sooooo cold and extremely windy. had a lovely drive (do i sound like an old man?? - but long coast road and my scooby is heaven) first few pics are of my usual training run route...
