Japanese Drinking Parties...and sayonara

Had another work drinking party tonight. tonights excuse was 'new year', but just another reason for them to get drunk. typically, all the japanese people that ive been battling and arguing with for the past few weeks, after a couple of beers, are all my best mates! actually kinda nice to clear the air. work is pretty stressful at the mo. well, basically, our company is up for sale, and IF we get bought, then 75% of us will be made redundant, think we find out next week. also, the due to the high costs in japan, the potential new buyer wants to pull out of japan, so , we could all be out of a job, or pulled back from japan in a few weeks. if we go, then the japanese company we are working with will go under, so tensions very high from both ends. the long and short of it is that i may have to leave this beautiful country very very soon, which will break my heart. no one knows whats going on, but we could be out of here in 6 weeks... so there you go...not good
