Falling off an elephant...(that sounds like it should be a 'saying' or something)

sorry, slow news week this week, just found this flicking through a few photo's. this was taken in Kuala Gandah Elephant Reserve in Malaysia this summer...great photo if for no other reason than tam's digital camera was awful and took about 5 seconds to take a picture...this one was supposed to be a picture of me ON the elephant...as with most things in life, timing is everything...

take the highway towards kuantan (highway 8?) after about 2 hours ish there is a turn off...ill find out which one. then through the jungle for a bit...its a great place, basically, its a working sanctuary, if for example, there is a wild elephant in the jungle somewhere, it can be a danger to people, and you cannot simply move it, so you call this sanctuary, they send out the senior elephants, these are trained to guide wild elephants onto a truck or something, you need two as you need one either side of the wild elephant, the wild elephants are taken to the sanctuary and calmed down and re-released into the jungle...and you get to feed and ride the senior ones at the sanctuary...great place
