Konnichiwa!

A blog eh?? well, to be completely honest, its only in the past few months that i actually learned what a blog is (p.s. sorry mother for the lack of capitalisation on i's but its just too much trouble). My first impression of blogs was 'who would want to read what someone else thinks about trivial rubbish'?? i thought that blogs were basically written by self opinionated, atention seeking computer geeks with too much time and too few friends...well...some of that feeling still resides..however, a few people here have them and i have to admit, that it seems like a great way to keep in touch with people and let them know how you are getting on....so here we are, i'd like to think of this as more of a diary, rather than a blog. i have been famously bad at keeping in touch with people over the past couple of years, and at the mo it takes a long time to email people individually to attempt to explain what im up to etc.... so here it is, a brief 'diary' of what im up to. take it or leave it, read it, ignore it, post comments, post photos of yourselves (much encouraged). i cant promise it will be updated daily, but frequent i can promise, entertaining? possibly, boring? probably, but anyway.... here is 'the not so secret diary of Glen Parkes aged 31 1/2.......'
